Beyond Borders launch in Brussels!

After a few months of work, Beyond Borders had their opening launch!



To launch the exhibition, we held a panel discussion on the evening of 27 January as a way to engage people in a deeper discussion on issues of colonialisms.



The panel featured Lamis Ali, a Palestinian activist in Belgium, and Myriam Mhamedi, a French-Moroccan feminist, anti-racist, activist and professional campaigner and storyteller for non-profits. The discussion was led by Aarti Narsee.

Visitors were a dynamic mix of engaged and informed individuals, reflecting a diverse range of backgrounds, interests, and motivations. Comprising activists, local residents from Brussels, individuals knowledgeable about the Palestinian conflict, and friends, this eclectic gathering demonstrates a collective eagerness to delve into complex topics surrounding colonialism and its contemporary implications.

The night was followed up by Palestinian dinner generously cooked by Danielle, a Brusselian local.
